This cartoon is named after London Free Press issue of 10 May 1975. Alongside caricatures of politicians and members of 1RCR, it was accompanying the editorial “Minefields clip Pegasus patrol’s wings” by LFP writer Roger Dray. The image illustrates the writing with a composite representation of an UNFICYP patrol in a generic Armoured Personnel Carrier as performed by 1RCR at the time. The scene is staged on the road to Louroujina (the far southeast border of Sector 4), which, as we find out from the writer, was a preferred destination for the troops. This cartoon was the central piece on the sixth, and final, LFP special coverage of 1RCR in Cyprus in 1975.
