Military Communication
Grade 4 - 10 | 60-90 min

Introduces youth to different methods of communications used in the military including Morse code and semaphore flag signaling. Large space required.

  • Tuesday – Friday 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • Hosted in your classroom in the London area.
  • The program can be adapted for day camps in the London area.
  • Maximum 30 students (1 classroom). Youths must be supervised at all times.
  • Suggested honourarium amount is $125.00 per program, additional milage costs may apply. Chaperones do not pay.

A Soldier’s Life (1914 -1918)
Grade 10 - 12 | 60-90 min

Introduces your class to using primary resources by examining First World War archives. Students will examine documents recording soldiers’ experiences.

All Over the Map: Around the Globe with the UN and NATO
Grade 11 | 60-90 min

Introduces students to global conflicts by mapping various regions of the world while highlighting Canada’s role as mandated by international organizations.

  • Tuesday – Friday 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

Beyond these Shores: Canada and the World since 1945
Grade 10 - 12 | 60-90 min

Introduces students to Canada’s contribution to global operations under organizations such as NATO or United Nations post Second World War.

  • Tuesday – Friday 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

  • The program can be adapted for day camps in the London area.

Above 660 N and Below 00 Celsius
Grade 6-7, 10 | 90 min

NATO and sovereignty exercises were the background of specific training for cold weather from late 1950s to present. Students will explore how Canadian soldiers prepared for operating in the Arctic and other extreme cold environments. Related group activities and discussion are included in this Cold War focused program.

Have You Heard of the CWACs?
Grade 6-8, 10 | 90 min

Discover the Canadian Women’s Army Corps (CWAC) and their connection to London, Ontario. Students will explore the different roles women held during the Second World War. Hands-on activities for students who are also introduced to de-coding and basic cyphers.
